Lezing Octatube op Building Holland 2016

In collaboration with Booosting and ABT, Octatube is participating at Building Holland in a lecture and discussion about design optimization. The lecture takes places tomorrow and is titled 'design optimization: building more efficient, sustainable and ... aesthetical!'.

Structural engineer Koos Fritzsche is on-the-spot on behalf of Octatube. In 2013 he won the Student Steel Award with the project ' Gridshell Efficiency Optimization'. Subsequently, he applies his knowledge about parametrically optimizing complex geometries in the often innovative projects of Octatube. "Within Octatube I have the freedom to provide insight in the structural behaviour of a design by means of optimizations. As a result I can make structure more efficient and advise architects about the possibilities and alternatives within a certain design concept." The panel is constituted further by Gyuszi Florian and Chris van der Ploeg.

Building Holland is a three-day integral event for the building and real estate sector. The yearly event takes places in the RAI Amsterdam. 10.000 visitors and 150 exhibitors come together to share knowledge, join network events, do business and see innovative products and concept. Among the speakers are also several big names in Dutch architecture, such as Rem Koolhaas, Ben van Berkel, Nathalie de Vries, Thomas Rau and Paul de Ruiter.
