Installation access bridge Ruurlo Castle

This week the assembly of the walkable glass units and glass balustrades has been completed, after installing the stainless steel bridge parts onto the pile foundation last week.

Huize Ruurlo in the Netherlands is a fourteenth century castle currently being refurbished into a museum. Part of the refurbishment is a glass entrance bridge with a stainless steel structure and a span of 32 meters. The glass floor is composed of engraved anti-slip glass while the balustrades have a screen print with a pattern of reeds.

Octatube has been appointed as main contractor for this project. In the coming period the glass sealant works will take place and also the LED lighting will be installed.
