At the heart of the Zuidas in Amsterdam lies the Atrium Building, currently being renovated and expanded into a luxury office building by G&S Vastgoed. The design is made by architectural firm MVSA. Seven bright and open winter gardens are situated at the corners of the towers as an alternation between the office spaces. These will be realised by Octatube.

Since the beginning of this year, Octatube has been involved in the development of the technical design for the Fastned City Stations. The first fast urban charging stations are currently being realised in The Hague. The City Stations are designed by Fastned as a timber canopy structure with a glass roof. PV-cells are integrated in the glass and will supply a part of the power for charging the electric cars. The canopy structures will be realised by Octatube.

This year’s edition took place on 16 & 17 June at Ghent University in Belgium where Octatube presented a paper on the Van Gogh Museum’s Glass Entrance Building.

Since two weeks Octatube has started with the second installation sequence of the balustrades at the Moreelsebrug (formerly known as the Rabobrug). The total length of the structurally glazed balustrades is approximately one kilometre.

At the Rokin in Amsterdam Ivy Group is developing two luxury department stores, together with the architectural firm Rijnboutt and main contractor Van Wijnen. One of the warehouses is characterised by a roof top with an arched steel structure onto which diamond shaped glass- and sandwich panels are fixed. At the moment assembly works are taking place in the workshop of Octatube.
